About our school

My name is Jim Meghdir, chief instructor at the Clifton Martial Arts Academy.  We pride ourselves on teaching not only how to punch and kick, but also on developing confidence, self-discipline and communication skills.  To do this, we set goals and help students do their best through positive re-enforcement. These skills are necessary to avoid fighting in the first place.  One should only use physical self-defense as a last resort.

This is a fun yet challenging program.  I have been a martial artist since age 6 and it was a fantastic decision my parents made. I developed self-esteem, the ability to defend myself if I had to, and made life-long friendships. I don't know where I would be or who I would be without my training.

We welcome anyone who would like to observe a class to stop in and have a look at what CMAA is all about. Feel free to call and schedule a visit, or to just stop by at your convenience.
